There’s no better way to enjoy the scenery than with an expertly curated tour of Morocco traveling thousands of feet in altitude. It’s lined with peaks, but it’s also a great drop zone with lots of open space. Skydiving is a relatively new sport in the country, but like many adventure sports, its popularity is gaining momentum.
Morocco has two main skydiving schools to consider when planning your trip. Not far from Marrakech, the Beni Mellal Flying Club (PACMA) offers a more adventurous experience for the day. Whether you’ve jumped many times or it’s your first time, the PACMA team is ready to make your Moroccan skydiving experience unforgettable. Anyone interested in jumping must undergo a medical examination and briefing.
The first jump is done with an instructor-just wet your feet. There are several progressive jumps (PAC) over the next few hours to prepare for the big solo jump. It may also include lunch and jump videos. Beni Mellal is the perfect town for him to spend a day or two while learning to dive in the sky. Nearby are his two old kasbahs worth visiting and the market, a melting pot of goods ranging from fresh produce to handover blankets and rugs. The famous Ouzoud Waterfalls are not far and make for a great day trip.
A little further south is the Air Mouse Parachute Adventure School. The company is based in Taroudant, about an hour from Agadir. Air Mauss, like PACMA, is a progress-oriented school, with guests making a total of six jumps. The first jump is done with an instructor. If you want to jump further, an instructor will accompany you. Second, time is spent analyzing jumps so mistakes can be learned and corrected. If you choose to skydive on the Air Mauss Parachute Adventure, you must bring a medical certificate stating that you are healthy enough to participate.
